Why built Hope & Faith Diabetes & Endocrinology Centre, Hyderabad, Sindh. Hyderabad is the second largest city in the province of Sindh, Pakistan and unfortunately is severely lacking in care /facilities in terms of Diabetes and Endocrinology. So, most patients in Hyderabad and surrounding areas have to travel to Karachi.
Hence, In 2021 Dr Noor Illahi Memon has proposed to build a Non-Profit Diabetes/Endocrinology Centre within the city of Hyderabad in the memory of our loved ones with the help of donations from family, friends and Sindh Doctors Association, UK. How Diabetes & Endocrinology Centre, Hyderabad, Sindh will work:
Once building work will complete, it will be a fully equipped Centre with two full time Diabetologists and two Diabetes Educators.
Ten western trained Diabetologists/Endocrinologists from the UK have generously agreed to dedicate 4 hours. each day on a
rotational basis to assist local diabetologists and to run Endocrinology clinics via video conference. Other Sub-specialty physicians will help to run Diabetes related subspecialty clinics in the Centre including Renal, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Neurology etc. All the overseas endocrinologists and
local subspecialty consultants will help voluntarily. Other staff will include Receptionists, Triage Nurses, Pharmacist, Path. Lab technician and other helpers.
This project is ongoing and welcomes donations.
