Already spent £ 80,000 (Rs 2 Crore) in emergency operations. The scale of the disaster is huge and the suffering continues. We are launching a renewed appeal to our friends, families and communities in the UK to come forward to help us to build 100 houses for flood victims. 32 houses already built and handed over. Many have lost their homes, left with little or no belongings, desperately seeking safety on higher ground. Families have lost their homes, livelihoods, and in some cases loved ones.More than 1,200 people have been killed and at least 360 of these were children.
